I can believe that the Roman Catholics weren\’t allowed to practice their religion starting in the 1500s since that\’s when old King Henry the 8th was in power and he got rid of the Catholic religion as the official religion of England and made up the new one of The Church of England because the Catholic church wouldn\’t let him divorce one of his many wives.
